{Baby Hallie}

Baby Hallie (forgive me if I spelled the name wrong) came to visit in her very first week of life.  Her brother and sister were very willing models and when they were done - they sat back and watched a movie while we catered to the baby.

I have always said newborns are tough... but they are still my favorite.  It's been some weeks since I had a newborn in the studio.  I can still smell the baby.  Her smell lingers in the studio.  I love it. You can tell already - she's is going to be a mover!  Part of getting a baby in so early is being able to naturally curl them up up.  At 6 days old - she was already resisting.  She's already ahead of the curve.

{The most famous baby in Waxahachie}

I first posted Baby Kooper's newborn pictures earlier in the month.  Every day, I go out to lunch, I run errands, I go to the store, I visit with my lawyer neighbors the Jenkins.  Every day someone mentions to me at least once they have seen Baby Kooper on my blog.  I attribute this to one person, his proud grandmother Ms. Ashmore. I ran into her today while I was having my makeover (the details might come in a later post).  I recognized that I should have this woman on my payroll.  The way she gushed over her grandson's pictures can not be matched in a blog post, advertisement or display.  This may not be a direct quote, but she said something along the lines of, " I had forgotten the depth of love I could have in my heart for someone".  When my own daughter was born, I remember telling my friend Emily that I had no idea I could love someone so much.  And just like that, I became a fan of Tabby Ashmore.

New life is just amazing.  Tabby, you are everything a grandmother is supposed to be.  Little Kooper is lucky to have you.  And I am SOOOOO happy that you loved the pictures.

~Lily~

I'm so excited... I finally got a smiling baby.  I know everyone says it is just gas... but I've always wanted a smiling baby.  It was a good way to end the year.  Photographing my favorite - a newborn.

Little Lily wanted to check out what was going on around her.  She didn't want to sleep. So I went ahead and composed a few with her eyes open.  For a newborn... she already has her mom's pretty eyes.  You can't tell in the previews.. but trust me, she does.

It's been a fun 2007.  Thanks to all of you!

{Newborn Twins}

I have waited patiently for this glorious day to come!  A photographer's dream come true!!  Newborn Twins!!!  I hardly slept last night I was so excited and looking forawd to it.  They were so good, right at 14 days old.  And big brother Jackson... my favorite superhero.  He stuck it out for 2.5 hours.

This session completely made my week!!
